DTE offers several programs to assist customers with paying their energy bills. DTE will work with you to set up a payment plan or advise you of assistance agencies in your area.

The Heat and Warmth Fund (THAW)

The Heat And Warmth Fund (THAW) is an independent non-profit agency that provides low-income individuals and families with emergency energy assistance and advocates for long-term solutions to energy issues.

United Way 2-1-1 is a multi-lingual, comprehensive information and referral service available 24 hours a day in 170 languages. Its database contains more than 20,000 programs and services. Individuals can also call 2-1-1 for volunteer opportunities in their area.

 

Weatherization Assistance Program
The Michigan Department of Human Services manages this program which provides free home energy conservation services to low-income
Michigan homeowners and renters.
